Industries Served
General Observation

The EnviroCamâ„¢ for Biotechnical, Petrochemical, and Semiconductor Industries is now available for General Industry applications. The EnviroCam vision analysis system provides real time, in situ observation and analysis for local or remote applications. The EnviroCam incorporates rugged high performance cameras and analysis software that operate in high temperatures, high and low pressures, high vacuum and corrosive environments. The EnviroCam provides images, video, analysis, and process control signals based on first order visual observation. Observation and analysis provided by the EnviroCam is stand alone. In addition, the EnviroCam provides new, unique data that any process control system can use to optimize a process, increase yields, and provide a higher level of quality. Operational environments can be hazardous, general purpose or ultra clean. To date traditional process recording has been through electronic instrumentation. Records provided by the EnviroCam include images, video, raw data, and sophisticated analysis. This unique data gives real time process control new and enhanced capabilities.

PetroChemical (PAT)

The Envirocam System provides in situ real time observation and analysis for a variety of applications in petrochemical applications. Pipeline applications include droplet analysis, and general corrosion observation and history. General Process Applications include large pumps, furnaces, turbines, and many more (please see General Industrial).

Nuclear / power (pat)

The Envirocam System provides in situ real time observation and analysis for a variety of applications in the Nuclear and Power industries. This includes bubble analysis, flow, combustion observation and pump related applications (thrust bearing analysis). The SAPPHIRE OPTICAL PROBES used in these applications are designed for HARSH ENVIRONMENTS. The optical windows, and hermetically sealed probes are designed and tested to perform under the harshest conditions including high and cryogenic temperatures as well as corrosive and abrasive atmospheres. The probes are divided into two varieties based on environmental temperature extremes static and gas cooled types. High purity synthetic sapphire is the window material of choice for these probes because of its unique capabilities.Synthetic sapphire is capable of 80% to 90% optical transmission from UV through visible to infrared frequencies. Synthetic sapphire does not deteriorate under high energy radiation. Because of its superior mechanical strength to that of fused silica and glass a much thinner window can be produced that is mechanically durable in harsh environments. Sapphire has a coefficient of thermal expansion that allows it to be brazed to a variety of high performance and corrosion resistant metals. Sapphire is more chemically inert than glass or quartz and is not affected by acids, strong alkalis or organic solvents.
Pharma / Biotech (PAT)

The Envirocam System Provides in situ real time observation and analysis for a variety of applications. These include: Bio Reactor Bubble Analysis (sauter mean, void fraction, interfacial area), Foam Detection, Inspection, History. In addition the Envirocam System can provide process control feed back to the control system (air flow, agitator speed etc).
Semiconductor (PAT)

The Envirocam wireless camera system is an in situ tool for calibrating the robotic arm in high-vacuum PVD and CVD wafer processing systems. This unit allows calibration to take place while the wafer processing chambers remain under vacuum. It can reduce system downtime from (up to) 20hrs for vacuum shutdown to less than 1 hour.
